Terms of Service
1. The service
Bliper lets you record and share safety sessions with people you trust, end-to-end encrypted. It is a notification and evidence-preservation tool. It is not an emergency service, does not contact police or medical services, and may fail for reasons outside our control: no network, a dead battery, platform restrictions, or a phone that was switched off.
2. Your account and keys
You sign in with your email. Encryption keys are created on your device. If you lose your devices and your recovery password, and no trusted person can return your keys, your recordings cannot be recovered by us.
3. Acceptable use
You may only track people who have installed the app and accepted your invitation. You must comply with the recording and privacy laws of your jurisdiction. Do not use Bliper to harass, stalk, or record people where that is unlawful. We may suspend accounts that abuse notifications or the service.
4. Subscriptions
Family Pro is an auto-renewing subscription billed by the App Store or Google Play to the family administrator. Prices are shown in the app. You can manage or cancel it in your store account settings; cancelling stops the next renewal. New families receive a 14-day Pro period without charge. When Pro ends, limits apply immediately and your history is kept for 90 more days before the Free retention applies.
5. Retention and deletion
Recordings are kept for 30 days (Free) or 365 days (Pro) after a session ends, then deleted. While a session is active nobody can delete it. After it ends, deletion is scheduled with a 24-hour delay and your circle is notified.
6. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Bliper is provided "as is" and we are not liable for indirect damages or for harm resulting from the service being unavailable. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
7. Changes and contact
We may update these terms with 14 days' notice in the app. Contact: legal@bliper.app.
